Press Release

Concourse partners with the National Academy of Public Administration on its podcast, Management Matters

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with the National Academy of Public Administration on its podcast “Management Matters,” a show about the big challenges facing public servants and government.

Starting in November, our CEO, Thomas Smyth, will co-host every other episode of the podcast, along with James-Christian Blockwood, the Academy’s president and CEO. They’ll interview public servants and researchers about a range of topics at the intersection of technology, innovation, and government.

“I’m pleased to announce our partnership with Concourse, and to welcome their CEO, Thomas Smyth, to Management Matters every other week.

Part of our goal with this podcast over the last two years has been revealing the hidden mechanisms of public administration and governance with the people who know them best. We’re at a watershed moment for technology and innovation in government at all levels. Bringing in Concourse to help us explore the many ways government is changing is a natural next step for us.

I’m excited for what’s next, and look forward to our Management Matters audience and Academy Fellows joining us.” — James-Christian Blockwood

The Academy is a congressionally chartered, nonpartisan nonprofit that helps government agencies solve management challenges through independent studies guided by its 1,000-plus elected Fellows. We’re proud to partner with them to spotlight what’s working in government.

You can find the first co-produced episode on YouTube, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
